On going job search

Probably like many of you, I will need to quit my current full-time job when clinicals start.
If anyone has some suggestions on flexible jobs or has heard of any job openings, please let me
know.

This would be a GREAT help!

Thanks,
Rachel

It is always good to look ahead, but you may be able to keep your job and go to school at the same time. It is not the best route but it is reality for some of us. Mortgages, car payments, school clothes, and gas prices don't stop just because nursing school is in session.
Of course you are the only one that knows your limitations and ability to juggle multiple tasks. Just know that it is possible work 40 hours and got to school (at least the first year).
*I have to add that I have a very supportive supervisor and flexible schedule(oh yeah and 4 weeks of vacation).

What city do you live in? I work in home health and have flexible hours and we are always hiring. I work for the Blanchard Valley Health System. I'm able to study at work and pretty much make my own schedule. I do agree with Mike though there are several students in our class that have been successful while working a 40 hour work week. I agree 100% with his comment.

I live in Gibsonburg. I currently have an 8-4:30 office job, therefore flexiblity is limited.

Not that it pays much, but you could be a tutor at Terra. It's VERY flexible.

My company is out of Findlay so that would be quite a drive, but I do know there are some agencies similar to mine in the Fremont area. They always have ads in the newspaper for caregivers and they LOVE nursing students. I believe that company is called Comfort Keepers but I'm not 100% positive on that.

I also have an 8-4:30 office job. I've worked out to work on a part time basis with my office, but I still need to find something else to make up the difference I'll be short starting this fall. I've been looking at hospitals, since sometimes that need registration, schedulers... and so forth. And some are part time. I've also looked into going back to waitressing a couple nights a week to save up on money while I can.

Bethesda Care Center just down from the school is looking for STNA's and contingency is great. You can work as much as you want or only the 2 required shifts per month.
