11:05 Graduation audit discussed by Colleen to
stress importance of having all required courses prior to graduation
11:06- Senior semester students, please order
pins as soon as possible. Pins can be ordered in the bookstore, the order
cannot be sent in until everyone places their order.- Mentor program, Lucas Shammo will be emailing those who expressed interest in this program with names of those senior semester students willing to mentor students.
-Please be professional at all times. Do not approach another instructor with a problem about a different instructor. - Vote was taken regarding a bake sale to raise money for the association funding. 0 votes for a bake sale.-Hot dog lunch sale was discussed Ed in the café will be providing the food. Dates being looked at are the last Monday or Tuesday of Sept 24 or 25. There will be a sign up sheet going around to classes once a date is settled. (We are doing hot dogs because walking taco’s were too expensive)
11:09 Fall 2012 Semester Charity discussion
- A suggestion for the Pontifex in Fremont OH
was given. They are looking to start a free health clinic for people in the
area and would like to have Terra Nursing Students help in the clinic. Student to email Colleen with details - Will vote next meeting on charity and information will be posted on nursing blog.- Second student suggestion, Heartbeat Crisis Pregnancy Center
(NAMI can only be used in the spring.)
- Community Service, trash pickup project is arranged, date Oct 7 at 3pm. Meet outside D building. Newspaper will be present. Participation benefits nursing students to place in their portfolio a required assignment during senior semester. Some would like to do something different.
- Student suggested an event for Joyful Connections in Oak Harbor. They are in need of volunteers for “Family Frenzy Day.” Colleen stated she would put up a sign up sheet for volunteers; however the nursing association community service must benefit the community a whole.

Shirt Sales, 2 designs passed around. - Vote taken to add $2 to the cost of each item to place into nursing fund, voting today will enable this to stay consistent for future classes to have money to graduate- Importance of money in the fund discussed with students present, discussion about cost of graduation, NCLEX, pin, pictures, invites, flowers, etc…- T shirts, Long Sleeve T shirts, Sweatshirts, Hoodies, Lunch bags and tote bag prices will be posted. Adding $2.00 will not add to the cost significantly of the items.- Majority Vote was in support of adding $2.00.
- A vote was taken to change the look of the T shirts. The stethoscope on the t shirt will be optional.
- T shirt order forms will be at next meeting.

considerate during quizzes and not whisper to one another.
