Terra’s Nurses Association Meeting,
September 8th, 2009

Jill Hershey introduced herself and other officers. She announced the fund raiser. Sucker sale started on August 25th, 2009 and selling till they are gone. Raffle tickets (50/50) distributed on September 8th, 2009 and due date is October, 6th, 2009. Drawing is held on October 14th, 2009.

Jill talked about how we are splitting the money between class of 2010, 2011, and charity. She decided 80%- who participated, 15%- charity, and 5%- set back which is emergency. She has not defined the emergency yet. If nothing happen, then it will go back to charity.

Jill said “You will not participate, then you will not get any money at the end”. For first year student, if you have any complains, report to Jill. She asked opinion for charity. Some students made suggestions such as Ohio veterans donate clothing to mental health etc.

Bake sale is held on October, 27th, 2009. We are using Building A, B, C, and E. Starting at 8:00 AM till out of the food.
Candle sale is starting on November 16th, 2009 till December 1st, 2009. We will make profit and its depends on size. Not paying money at front. Selling the candles from OLDE WHALER’S.

Jill asked 1st year student for representatives. Amiee Simons, Faith Ferkel, and Micky Trape are interested in it. We have not voted yet.
Blog is main source of communication. Jill asked there is any concern, students replied NO.

Sue Kajfasz gave suggestion to do raffles every month between the intervals instead of 1 drawing in 4 months.

Becky K. announced we had total $446. 31(from last year class) to start with it and will be distributed among class of 2010. We made $250.00 from suckers as of September 8th, 2009. Nickel for Nurses: A decision to put container in the Cafeteria.
