Terra is going to have a special event this year on October 28th, and we were invited to participate! I LOVE stuff like this, maybe cause I have kids.....but I'm pumped! They are having a Trick-or-Treat for the kids. We get our own booth to decorate and pass out candy...and of course REPRESENT the TCCNSA!
Right now I'm just looking for any theme ideas for the booth..... I am going to make it, so when there is a awesome, yet do-able idea, then we will go with that!!
I also want to see if we can get and bags of candy donated to us. I thought about asking local businesses:: We will advertise their busness at our booth, and all it will cost them is a bag of candy! If you know anyone who has a business and who would like to participate, email me!!!
If you want to volunteer, let me know too!! I was told it would be between 6-8pm....Bring your kids!! I will be taking my 1 y/o lil girl and 9y/o boy. They can go around and collect candy, dress up in a costume, and help pass out candy too!!!

Sounds like a whole lot of fun and an opportunity to promote nursing. If you would like nursing coloring books and magnets. Each student can go to www.campaignfornursing.com and receive 50 english coloring books and 50 spanish coloring books. Also 10 of each type of magnet. These coloring books and magnets are FREE.
We have been giving the coloring books out at PCH and the kids love them. CVS and PCH employees donated crayons.
It usaully takes approx. 3-4 weeks to ship so you ought to order soon.
Again you pay nothing for these items.

so i was thinking... does the booth have to be a nursing theme or a halloween theme? if halloween, you could go totally easy and put a huge white sheet over top of the booth. like a ghost. make eyes at the top and then we can sit/stand at the mouth opening..... get what i mean? i love doing this stuff so if youd like some help call me and maybe we can work together. 419-463-8600
also, FREMONT CANDY AND CIGAR is a business that has donated candy to the bank when i worked there for customer appriceiation day. you could try there for candy donations. if im not mistaken, ask for JIM BOWLUS. just a suggestion.
I'll take your help! DEFINATLY!! I would really like a medical/nurse theme, but nothing scarry or bloody. But we will see.... We can see if anyone else has any ideas, if not we will brain storm. I got ALOT of stuff at my house we can use. I will keep you up-dated! Super Thx
