Is anyone out there passing the concepts tests? If so please help me. How are you studying for it? Is there a trick to grasping the material? After looking at the class avg. I think there are a few of us needing help. Please share suggestions. I think I've tried every possible method of studying, but I'm desperate to try something that works!!!

Yeah I need help too. Mandy talked to sister pat today and she is thinking about a presentation on a theorist for some lil bit do able points. its not a for sure thing yet but it does leave a lil light at the end of the tunnel.
Oh my gosh, concepts test along with fundamental test are the hardest test to pass. Do not get down on yourself and just keep trying to find your technique of studying.
My goal the whole time I was in fundamentals and concepts was just to pass the test (78%).
We had a few saying amongst our class. "78, that is great!" "Skate with a 78" and personally my favorite, "C's get degrees!"
Don't worry, just focus on trying to find a method that gets you a C.
Yeah I need Help too Guys....... to pass those tests...
This is going to sound counter productive but you need to let up with this course. The more I submersed myself into the material the worse I was doing on the tests. When I finally "removed myself" from the material I started to pass the tests. As I have stated to others this is when we started to make up Sister Pat type of test questions for our study groups; for which we all benefited from. Divide the chapters up and come up with multiple choice questions for each section.
My way of studying for concepts was to outline. It is time consuming but well worth the effort. If you have questions on how to outline let me know, but I passed with a B+.
I agree with all advice given and would like to add as we got further into the material the easier it seemed to get. I actually used and still use the techniques given to us in the nurse's meeting. I find different color highlighting helps me out so much. Concepts was my hardest class to date but its passable!
After I started nursing school I quit making note cards. They just weren't benefical to me anymore...but I did actually make them for concepts..and I passed. I don't know whether or not they were a huge contributing factor or not.
