The Student Nurses Association has been asked to participate in the Make a Difference Day in Sandusky County for Senior Citizens. The class officers think that this is another chance to show what a great organization we are and to help out the community. Below is what the Sandusky County for Senior Citizens (SCSC) is proposing
Here is what we are asking from the members of the SCSC; we are asking for a goal of 5 people from each organization/company to volunteer their services on October 25, 2008. The duties would involve "fall clean up" and winterizing. We have some ideas like raking leaves, putting in storm windows, taking out window units for air conditioners, etc.
We are not sure how many seniors will respond to our request for help, but if each facility could do one house, imagine what we could accomplish. There will be more details to come; we just want everyone to be aware of what is going on so we can all be prepared. We will discuss more on August 20 at the regularly scheduled SCSC meeting.
The above information is all that we have at this time and we will post more as we receive it. We just wanted to get a feel of how many people would be willing to offer a few hours of a Saturday to help make our community a better place.
If this sounds like something that you would be in interested in doing please leave a comment.
